This came across the Florida Greens list serve. It is pretty scary stuff. Even prochoicers are concerned about this.

Apalling--but it was over 30 years ago. Many people who advocated such things back then don't necessarily any more. Does he still? Has he apologized or recanted?

People of color and people from the two thirds world by the 1990s were greatly transforming the population debate into something far more humane than it had been under horrific views like these. Did they have a constructive effect on him?

pssh what's wrong with forced abortions? it's just a clump of cells!

I think what's even more troubling is that many pro-choicers don't realize that this is a predictable result of the pro-choice mentality...

i know plenty of prochoicers who are just that--pro choice, & so very much against *forced* abortions. lumping them in with adovcates of forced abortions, etc is like lumping all abortion opponents in with doctor killers.

As far as I know that he is still supporting what he wrote. It is my understanding that he is often photographed with the book he wrote on the book shelf behind him. Not the actions of someone who wants to distance himself from his writings.
